This painting is a very personal one to me. Its of my boy who was premature and arrived at 26 weeks - a micro premmie 2Lb 5oz or just under a bag of sugar in weight. This painting is an amalgamation of two photographs that were taken when he was about two months old.
He goes to school on Wednesday and i'm wondering if i'm going to be emotional about it. Perhaps this painting is dealing with that. But its also about helping anyone who's had a premature baby. They do grow up and we do move on, its just such a pivotal moment in time. I'm available for baby painting commissions in all their forms. I'm no stranger to a NICU unit. Perhaps if this strikes you - you could donate to BLISS to help all those parents and families who are in a similar position.
