This luscious number is part of my series of strawberry paintings. Painting strawberries is an art form, for sure! While there is a uniform pattern for the seeds, for instance, each is unique and requires different shades and tones. Some are green, some yellow and some even red. The berries themselves are also complex, and I plan to keep investigating the vast array of red oil paints, bringing together light, texture, pattern and close up imagery. The photo on the website is the best professional quality image I could manage, but there is nothing like seeing this painting in the flesh so to speak. I've put two photo versions of it. In day light it is slight more bright red and in house hold lighting it goes more crimson red.
This could be hung length ways too. Looks just as good.
This painting has been hand stretched and primed by me with Robertson and Co Oil based primer.
The painting is framed in a handmade hand painted and unique red tray frame.
