Part of my collections investigating the surface quality of long aged cutlery. I just love to paint the reflections of light and the colour changes I see. You even get some turquoise and pinks show up. This painting was done directly from life, from a distance you would think it a photograph but close up you know its a painting because far fewer marks are made that you realise. Rather like what Holbein and the Elizabethan masters did with velvet and pearls.
Ready to hang as it is or you could frame.
I like the raw Linen look without an edge to it.
