At the beginning of October and during the Autumn turn, I took a visit to Virginia Water for some Plein Air painting. It was a beautiful morning and I stayed for a few hours painting this scene. I worked on a larger scale canvas than I normally do and I've been working on it in the studio since then. I finished it today Dec 11th - so it is still wet.
I've used a more impressionistic style in this painting, allowing the viewer to fuse and fashion some of the image themselves. This is generally how Plein Air painters work.
